Chapter adds 15 new members during fall recruitment 2014

The Epsilon-Rho chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity at Drury University wrapped up formal fall recruitment efforts this past weekend. Fifteen new members joined the chapter after invitations were distributed during the annual Bid Day on Sunday.

New members will be immersed in an education program over the next eight weeks, which focuses on our core values of brotherhood, character, scholarship, leadership, service, and moral awareness.

Drury President accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Sigma Pi

After completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Monday, the brothers of Drury's Sigma Pi Fraternity chapter nominated Drury President Dr. Dave Manuel to be the next to accept the mission. The Challenge and dollars raised because of it support research and awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disorder commonly called Lou Gehrig's disease.

Dr. Manuel agreed to the challenge via Twitter and Tuesday and asked chapter members to help pour the ice bucket during the event, held Wednesday afternoon at the President's House on Drury's campus.

Drury Sigma Pi takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Members of the Drury University chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity joined thousands of fellow ice-water-loving do-gooders today by participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

After completing the mission, the chapter donated $100 to the ALS Association, and invited Drury President Dr. Dave Manuel, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Lambda Chi Alpha to also take the challenge.
